Overcoming Challenges

Romans 12:12 (New International Version)

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Heavy, sticky, hard to walk through

The swamp of affliction lies ahead

I cannot climb over or crawl under

Though I could choose to stand still instead

Of reaching to the side I sometimes can't see

But hope, trust and know God has prepared for me.

Shall I forfeit unknown wonders

Due to known woes?

I can hope in the light ahead

Or sulk in present shadows...

But I choose to be happy in what hereafter will be

Though now I stand in muck high to my hips

For before long I'll emerge and wipe off the stains

Having new confidence in heart and new praise on lips.

Prayer: Like you, Lord, sometimes I wish that 'if it were possible, take this cup away from me' ๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜–but like you Lord, I choose to hold on to the Father's hand through all challenges ๐Ÿ™Œand walk to the light of hope that awaits me on the other side with prayer, praise and joy ๐Ÿ’ƒall the way through. It is never easy...but I trust you.๐Ÿ’ช
